I bumped into Rob Howard last week at VS Live.  It was apparent after only a few minutes talking to Rob how excited he and his team are about the pending release of their fabulous community toolkit.  Today Rob made it official.  CommunityServer 1.0 is released.

In case you haven't spent to much time looking at the new capabilities for CommunityServer here is brief rundown.

One feature stood out in my mind during our discussion.  They have worked hard to make the bits and pieces of CommunityServer interchangeable and multi-functional.  For example in CommunityForums you can use traditional NNTP readers, website readers or email broadcasts to send forum content to your users.

Congratulations to the entire telligentsytems team. Watching friends release software is almost as exciting as having your own launch party.

Guess I know what I'm doing this weekend. Time to upgrade my server.
