OK, Microsoft has uploaded the SQL Server 2005 beta 2 bits to the MSDN Servers.   You must be an MSDN subscriber and all that...

Location

If you don't see it look in treeview for

Servers/SQL Server/SQL Server 2005/SQL Server 2005 CTP - April 2005/

Don't  bother with the Servers/SQL Server/SQL Server 2005/SQL Server 2005 folder.  That's the old bits from last summer.

Editions Available

Currently ready for download.

  • SQL Server 2005 CTP - April 2005 - Developer Edition - 64 bit Extended (English)
  • SQL Server 2005 CTP - April 2005 - Developer Edition - 64 bit Itanium (English)
  • SQL Server 2005 CTP - April 2005 - Developer Edition (English)

The Express Edition is included in the Visual Studio 2005 beta so if you've downloaded VS.NET you won't need to waste time getting it again...
